I, am an idiot. I had the popo give me a call yesterday, Colton gave me a number and told me to call it, do the default "cactus". Holy fucking shit did I pick the wrong person to annoy, I *67ed it and thinking that one call wont hurt. They anser and press a whole bunch of numbers.
[RANDOM] (pushes 1,2,3) Now I'm tracing your punk ass! the police are going to be at your house in a few minutes!
[me] Wait, pushing random buttons doesn’t trace a number. Don’t go making up things like that.
[RANDOM] Well I'm calling park region you little bastard!
[me] Oh, ok.
[RANDOM] That’s right mother fucker!(click)
So I think nothing of it, go back to playing around with this cool war dialer called AOI 5.0 a basic sequential dialer, repetitive annoyance dialer and extender checker, Cool l33t old days stuff.
The next day I get a call on my cell, it’s the sheriff. He basically says that the person I called yesterday flipped out on me. They called the phone company and apparently this is a pretty serious thing. I'm pretty lax when it comes to getting in trouble about stuff, but abuse for calling once Is pretty extreme. He said that he talked them out of pressing charges. I thank him for doing so and hang up.
I walk outside and take a bat to some old scrap metal. walk back inside and talk to my parents about it. God I have a lax family, they said make sure you don’t get caught doing stuff involving phones.
Call Colton and ask him what he'd done to them. He didn't tell me that he's been calling for the last 3 months from his payphone and pressing buttons when they say hello.
And apparently Erin and Sheena called them at 2 a.m. Great Colton. Thanks for that. The sheriff came to his house and talked to him, he gave them my cell and they called me. I think breaking his jaw would be appropriate. And never bothering to be within 20 yards of him.
Holy shit..
Now I wonder what the legal status of war dialing is.....
And I also may be going to defcon 13 next year. Scotts going to come with.
